Fast Eddie's: Entry

Fast Eddie's: Entry

Fast Eddie's is a barbershop situated within the heart of Melbourne CBD.

A bare retail store with two adjacent entrances of only 45m2.

As the second Fast Eddie's premises within Melbourne CBD, this new Fast Eddie's required a fit-out reflecting the first location full of unique style and cutting-edge fashion and trends; a place where you can not only get a haircut, but also catch up with mates and and chat about what's on trend, from art to music, tattoos to skateboarding, and the latest hair trends. The interior design needed to meld with three existing vintage barber chairs, and include a washing area, and waiting area.

Inspired by Dale Bigeni's illustration "Work Smart, Hustle Hard", the final design of Fast Eddie's Barbershop is a space engulfed by a black faceted installation, highlighted with LEDs, which cascades from the ceiling down the wall, revealing a seated waiting area, and crawls to the floor and back up creating a point of sale area. American oak is featured throughout the centre joinery piece running the length of the interior, where three vintage black leather barber chairs await customers eager for a clean shave. Elegant brass encircles adjustable round mirrors which contrast against the linear bench. This hard hitting enclosed interior and polished accents allow for a compelling space that is on trend, thought provoking and inviting, making for an unforgettable experience, for both the client and employees.
